Home on The Ranch
The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe has been a romantic country retreat perched atop the hills overlooking San Diego, in the heart of Southern California horse country, since 1923. Their new ‘Home on The Ranch’ stay enhancement immerses couples into that quintessential experience with a Whiskey Romance Welcome amenity, room upgrade and horseback riding at The Riding Club Academy.
On property, 32” Mini Horses, Ziggy Starbutt and Jumpin Jack Flash from the nonprofit Rock‘N Horse Minis, will greet guests checking in for the weekend on Friday evenings now through June and serve as the main attraction during Morada Mimosas & Minis Sunday Brunch, May 26 – June 30. The ‘Home on The Ranch’ launch will culminate with the opening day of Del Mar Thoroughbred Club and the Ultimate After-Party, Hats, Heels & Hooves, July 17 from 5pm – 10pm.
‘Home on The Ranch’ Stay Enhancement
To reserve, couples simply book one of The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe’s 80 rooms and suites, which start from $239/night and are tucked around 21 acres of lush garden landscape. Then they can enhance their stay by adding the ‘Home on the Ranch’ experience via the online form at $250 for two people, which includes:
- Complimentary upgrade to a room with patio and fireplace (based on availability)
- 60-min equestrian experience at The Riding Club Academy – choice of English riding lesson in-arena or guided trail ride around the Del Mar Mesa Nature Preserve
- Whiskey Romance Welcome Amenity – S’mores kit for two and a bottled, barrel-aged cocktail by Dutch House at The Huntsman Whiskey Bar, The Inn’s whiskey-centric bar themed as a salute to exemplary sport & riding and a nod to the old Santa Fe Hunt Club
SPA: Recoup Post-Ride
Once couples wrap up their ride, get off their high horse and return to The Inn, they can unwind with The Spa at The Inn’s ‘Rancher Massage’ for men (80 min, $180) and ‘Inn-Tuitive’ treatment for women (80 min, $180). Each treatment includes a full-body massage incorporating native, indigenous ingredients and put special emphasis on relieving tension in muscle areas most affected by horseback riding.
Morada Mimosas & Minis Sunday Brunch | May 26-June 30, 10am-1pm
The Inn’s signature restaurant, Morada, will host Mimosas & Minis Sunday Brunch from 9:30am – 12:30pm, May 26 – June 30. Year-round, the English riding themed restaurant serves creative California comfort food and an elegant laidback atmosphere. For the launch of ‘Home on The Ranch,’ Morada and Rock‘N Horse Minis will offer a pint-sized equestrian obstacle course near the Morada terrace for visitors to prance these 32” ponies around while learning about how they’re used for therapy.
In addition to Minis, Morada will be serving a full brunch menu, mimosas-by-the-glass and a Mix & Match Mimosa kit, which includes a bottle of La Marca Prosecco and choice of three specialty juices ($52). So grab a glass and giddy up!
